I've never been down there and at first thought they must must Castlewood Canyon State Park (which is near Castle Rock), but apparently there's a "Rock Park" down there with climbing?  Anyone know about the area, the nature of the climbing or this incident in particular?!

"Rock Park" is the park in which the Castle Rock is located. It is covered on MP: https://www.mountainproject.com/area/105805044/castle-rock

did it a long time ago, glad I didn't die or get bit by a snake. thought that was closed many years ago after a kid died there, and city didn't want their shit messed with on top of the rock. largely shit rock and kitty litter for the couple of weaknesses/dihedrals to solo but nothing to write home about.
