Turkey rocks road condition

Anyone been out to Turkey rocks recently? Wondering how badly the rains have rutted/washed out the road. |
|

Not all that recent but 3 weeks ago the road was relatively ok, granted we were in a jeep but we never had to put it in 4 wheel.drive. |

also looking for T-rocks road advice. Anyone been on it more recently and do you think a van can get up there ? |

Anunta Anuntawrote: I was out there a few weeks ago and the road is kind of rough right now. It was passable in a forester, but it made for some engaging driving. My promaster would not have made it. I imagine the recent rain hasn't helped. |

I was there last Monday the 3rd. Yes, a van can make it as evidenced by one in the parking lot, but I wouldn't recommend it. There's lots of ruts, some on steep sections, and a few with loose gravel, that you'll need to negotiate. Sure, you can do it with careful choice of your path and going slow - and occasionally fast. |

Come on guys, I got my honda s2000 atleast 3 miles down that road , before the creek crossing |

Went on Saturday and can honestly can say the road is the worst I've seen in 6 years. I used to take a Toyota matrix down that road, now I have a Crosstrek. Was easily doable with the crosstrek, but a matrix or anything with similar ground clearance will not get there today. Sprinters will need to be smart with their path selection. |

Reviving this thread. Anyone out there recently? |

Three vans got stuck on Friday night and had a $600 tow bill. My buddy said its the worst he's seen it in 20yrs. I was fine in a full size truck, smaller vehicles beware! |

Got it done in a stock AWD Rav4 on Saturday. Poor traction in a few spots, but clearance is king. Wouldn’t try it in a small car - as others have said. |

B Donovanwrote: Good to know, would be going in a Honda Pilot or a Honda CRV, similar clearance |

Just saw a forrest service bulldozer leaving the area, seems like maybe they did the biannual grating? might be 2wd low clearance access now? previously made it in a subaru crosstrek with a brave skilled driver getting in is easy getting out takes speed and is bumpy wear a seat belt like on an airplane to not hit your head or wear your climbing/driving helmet |

I do it regularly in a 2wd 4Runner. If you have clearance, a little skill, and there's no snow/ice 4wd is definitely not needed. |

Didn’t need 4x4 last week |
