Relatively new to the area looking for anyone in the who wants to explore the Sandias and doesn't mind rugged approaches or chossy rock. My objectives are moderate multi-pitch / alpine trad routes: I would like to get out on some of the classics like Standard S and Northwest Ridge as well as more obscure routes like Whiskey Ridge.

I am a relatively experienced trad leader looking for someone with similar (or more) experience. Awesome if you're a local willing to share your wisdom, otherwise just looking for anyone stoked enough to grind through some suffer fests haha.

No particular dates in mind. Just polling out for interest

Hey, Andrew.

I’m old enough to be your Grandpa.  Still, suffer fests were the main attraction for me for awhile. Even today, my forearm skin has remnants of scratches from getting to / from Route 6 on The Shield a couple weeks ago - thoroughly enjoyed the day with a long-time partner.

I’d guess our primary mis-match may be in the category of endurance  - well, that and you may still be gonzo for suffer fests. :)

In any case, message me if you want to see if we can have a meeting of the minds about doing some Sandia climb together. An introductory session at Stone Age Climbing Gym could be helpful as well but not required.

I'm also looking to get out in the Sandias. I've done the S Route and the Northwest Ridge, but would be down to give them another go. Been climbing in Sandias for a few years now, and Whiskey Ridge has always been a target. I don't mind a good suffer fest.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
