Innsbruck/Austria Climbing

Hi all,

I'll be going out to Germany/Switzerland/Austria for the first two weeks of August for a wedding and I'm trying to sneak in a little bit of climbing while I'm out there. I'll be likely be posted up in the Innsbruck area for a bit with my girlfriend/possibly friends, and would like to reach out to anyone that's climbed in the area. I gathered some beta translating a lot of sites from German into English but that only goes so far. I wasn't planning on bringing a rack out there and would just be looking to sport climb. Just curious about sun aspects, best crags that time of year, must do things in the area (sites/food/rad spots) other than climbing, best places to stay, is a car necessary (was trying to avoid renting the whole time I was there), etc. We were also amenable to other areas outside of Innsbruck but I did buy my returning flight to leave from that airport.

Following this as well. I will be there perhaps a couple weeks earlier and also looking for some intel. Zillertal is really the only zone I know about.
