Stefan Heesterbeek wrote: To work with the GriGri1 it should NEVER be used to automatically lock , and should NEVER be used with at least 1 hand on the brake stand as written above , lightweight users supporting heavier clients risk injury like heavy injury in worst case death and endangering the ability to hold the rope or unable to release the rope couse your hand is stuck in the grigri directions (2arrows), GriGri1 works with the same method thuss offering autolock , deadzone weight when climbing with buckets attached to the petzl climbing-belt rear max 2 attachments, this will result in no free fall space for the grigri to autolock any G1 or G2 force, instead will result in freefalling through the rope with NO security, when using new ropes never use the grigri1 to secure yourself from heights , instead only use it for support security on the ground for clients reaching heights. New ropes are silliconed by the factory machines, this will wear off using the rope properly. The answer to using the grigri 100% save is always have at least an option to use 1 hand on the rope. When weight Forces are locked it should be save according to petzl to make save use of the autolock. In no way use the brake handel for security measures in any way, this is not the direction the rope wil move when descending unable to accidently move the lever(I think the editor means any of these imposibillities JUST DONT or learn the hard way), and versa the other way you wont be able to use the brake lever becouse you need 2 hands on the rope. In any way never use to new ropes or a to heavy bucket. Just like with bare hands it is possible to slide the rope up and down both directions the bucket weight will result in the same problem NEVER creating a slight shock that will move the brake from its place, nwt, kgs, rotationalGs, specs will very from regular gravitationalGs! Always keep 1 hand on the rope when locking the lever how hard it often is while building the wall, Petlz will never act resposible to such failures and resulted in minimum ages and a loss of my job as expert 7B instructor and maintenance worker. Please be save, are there many differences between Grigri2 and the first models grigri? please give advices as needed for future campain! My advice is mamut gear, petzl offers gear with minimum adjustment space to make it sizeable for everybody, if I want with petzlgears I can slip out of it when hanging upside down for thrill, resulsting in dangerous 90degree roof climbing.Tnx Drivel. Babble. Poppycock. Balderdash.

I was belayed recently by someone who assured me they knew how to use a grigri, but needed more practice with it. Topped a route, called take, looked down and she was holding only the climbers strand, saying "I got you". I went in direct, counting my blessings I didnt fall or take during the route.

The post purportedly from Eindhoven NL is actually a bot. And…. as to the post above, you maybe top a boulder. Please don’t top a route.
