Do I need to do anything to keep my shoes in good shape while I’m out with an ACL reconstruction?

Tore my ACL skiing in Feb, reconstructed in March, it’ll be 9+ months in between climbing sessions.

1.  Will it f up my shoes if they’re sitting unused that long?

2.  Is there anything I should be doing to prevent that?

they will shrink over time if left unused. put them in the microwave for a few seconds once a week to loosen them up. don't put them in for too long or they will grow too much

I’ve had the rubber go slick and hard on shoes that sit for a while. If that happens, hit ‘em with a wire brush before you use them again and they’ll be good to go.
