Don’t start trolling me for saying condies, I know it’s cringey lol

Anyone know conditions of cal dome or what to expect on a big snow year like this? I’ve only been in the fall and looking to maybe go back in a week or 2 if doable

I think that road is included in the seasonal closure extension through April 30 though IIRC it is also actually controlled by PGE so they may or may not follow that closure per FS order.

Text me any time. My office is at the corner of Tiger Creek and 88 and I live across the hiway. The low road has been closed at the power house all winter due to damage. I'll make a list if you text me or post back here every few days as I get word. 209-271-9395

4-27 Latest news. I spoke directly to an employee that said they were in the process of putting a temporary gate at the Moore Creek bridge (road to top and West Point). This should be done by Monday 5-1. That will still leave around a mile of walking to get you on most stuff. Sargent rock being the closest. The road below Cal Dome is apparently gone in places and will take some engineering and a couple of more weeks to get open with the goal to provide recreation access by Memorial Day. He has my cell and has agreed to send me updates. With that said, I live here. If anyone wants to hang out Im all in. I have a ton of space and I am almost always available to go cragin'.

5-10 (Awesome date!) Latest news. I drove to Ellis rd to see how much snow was left and behold, The USFS was plowing. I then drove back to tiger creek to find out what the deal is. The low road to White Azealia Campground will be open tomorrow. The road below Cal dome will be another 10 days and about 2 weeks for Ellis. The goal to be to the dam by memorial day. On a side note, they said Salt Springs will spill over in about 10 days and it is a sight to witness. Dont miss it. Get in touch. Ill be throwing down BBQ at Cole Creek in a few weeks and most likely camping on the road across from White Azealia until then.

5-12. Yes you can. The low road is open to the White Azealia campground. It took me exactly one hour to get to the base of Cal Dome where the road is covered in debris. This is at the approach to the Banzai side. It was one of only a few times where I know I was the only person in the valley and its pretty special. Some things to remember about the low road.
The first 3 miles from the power house and miles 8-12 are a series of blind corners. During the day there is traffic and around 4 the workers are coming out, fast. I drove out last night at 7 and never saw a sole. If you can its actually safer to drive this road at night as you can see headlights in the canyon along ways off. Be safe. Im around if you have questions or need more beta. 209-271-9395

Anyone following this? Dozens of new problems to be had. I fired a few. Limited time only. I put a dot in the middle of this. There are workers to the right that will give you the enormous scale. The dot is 5 times the size of them. Contact me for more info. 68 degrees on 11/12?
