Crag dogs are only at crags. People who hate crag dogs can climb at the gym. No crag dogs there only gym dogs. No problem. |

Only if we can ban tobacco smokers, go-pros, drones, boom-boxes (or the equivalent), and hammocks. |

Here is a picture of Luna, unleashed, wirth my daughter at a local crag. Dogs off leash at crags are great! Kids are great! |

Last time around, in the looonnnggg thread on this topic, the dog lovers and dogs-are-fine-at-crags folks outnumbered the dog haters by a large margin. Just join the crowds, and get a dog. Unless you''re a cat person....yuck! |

That is 190 lbs. of crag dog. The best nicest gentleman you will ever meet. Children could climb on them stick their hands in my dog's mouth & at most they would look at me to say please help me. Once when walking to a climb with the dogs about a quart mile ahead of me with my climbing partner I was attacked by four German shepherds that lived on a small ranch we were walking by. The tan one heard what was happening and came to my rescue at the last minute & save my life. He handle all four dogs by himself and bought me enough time to get back on my feet & get out of there. He also dealt with a Grizzle bear that decided I was in his way. Neither bear nor dog were hurt & I had time to back off while he stood his ground. |

People don't pick up their dog's crap because for them, it's a disgusting thing to do. For the rest of us, seeing it, smelling it, occasionally stepping in it - molto bene! |

Bruno Schullwrote: You are operating under the dangerous delusion that an MP thread represents an accurate sample of the climbing community at large. Nobody's mind is getting changed here. Most dog owners will be pro crag dog, and people that have unsavory experiences with dogs will be anti crag dog. But here is an indisputable fact: there are dog owners who let their pups roam unleashed, they don't clean up the poop, and they wrongfully assume their dog is always well behaved. I have a friend with a really cool dog, she just chills unleashed. I also have a friend that is 100% guilty of the "he never does that!" bullshit. Unfortunately the latter is what I witness more often than the former. I don't pretend that my experience is the empirical truth; but it does mean I must fall on the anti crag dog side of the fence. |

Oh please, nothing is worse than a person not cleaning up after them selfs!!! Ban people & we will have no problems like this! This is a people problem NOT a DOG problem. Erroll, I have a friend that brings his cat to the crag all the time. People come here and complain about our dogs. Get over it our dogs are coming to the crag, you can go someplace else indoors! |
