I am looking for recommendations for a 3-4 night hut-to-hut trekking circuit that would be good for a family with a nine-year-old. Our daughter has done a fair amount of trekking in the Andes and is pretty robust but ideally looking to avoid a lot of elevation gain and any passes over class 2 and/or very snowy. We will be based out of Chamonix in July but have the ability to start over the Swiss or Italian borders as well. Full-service huts would be a bonus but in no way necessary. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Also, I'll be looking for climbing partners for down days and we are always up for hiking with other families if you are in the area.
My friend, you proabaly want to avoid glacier crossings unless you have the skill and gear to deal with that. I would explore Aiguilles Rouges. There is good access from Chamonix, huts, many bolted rock routes and beutiful hikeing. It is a splendid range and way more manageable than the Mont Blanc range accross the valley. And the view back toward Mount Blanc range is awesome.

Thanks for the recommendation Michael. Yes, only I will be playing around on the glaciers! I will check out Rogues more for family trekking. Much appreciated.

Would you be wanting a guide, or doing things on your own? (I know an American guide who lives in Chamonix.)
