stick clip

I bought a stick clip and Im super excited to use it to try some harder routes!  I hope I don’t get too many dirty looks for my bad style but my ankles will thank me later.

Front Range CO, 10 years or so, 8 sport/bouldering, a couple years now with trad. 

My decision was reinforce today also when I see the super thin strong setter man doing his 1 arm pull ups and noticed both his ankles have been badly broken, I use to live in envy of his V15 ability but I will rather walk later.

Nice, how did you make that one?  Sling and abunch of tape?

Under the sling and all the tape is a piece of cherry wood. 

You can also purchase commercial versions. I think Mammut has one.

No shame in using a bitch clip. Wisdom comes with age and I’d like to climb in my 60s so using a bitch clip is no brainer. 

You might want to call it something else... I call it the Viagra stick ;)  and I am in my 60s... 

Or maybe we got it right with stick clip and just stick with that.

Always, just used it the other day at one of the local gems, gorgeous day at Front range secret crag. Not a single soul but me and my crusty buddy. He keeps my mouth in check, otherwise I’d be posting about it right now.
