Yet Another Bolt Remover

My machinist is busy and hasn't started the run yet, hopefully I'll get some parts to Peter by early June! |

Hi Nathan, I don't remember when we switched to a rounded interface piece. It helps pull the bolt straight when the bolt was drilled at an angle relative to the face, but that would be the only significant change. |

I want to order one of these to donate to the Tahoe Climber's Coalition for replacing questionable bolts in our community. Thanks! |

Ensign Ensignwrote: Just wanted to throw it out there that many of the bolts being replaced around Tahoe are independent climbers unassociated with the TCC as well. Perhaps that money would be better in the hands of the ASCA, or a YABR given to an individual of your choosing. On topic - has there been any change in the forecasted turn around time? I also would like to order one. Thanks! |

Hey all, Thanks for the continued interest in the YABR. My machinist has been pretty busy, but hoping to get another batch of 20 going in the next week or two. Then a week or two for anodization, then ship to Peter for assembly and shipment. So in all likelihood, it will be mid July before we can get them out. Fill out this form to reserve yours: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1LxFcGAUKRLtY8Gfrj0Rl1SOsurWTgd40VAoccpndzNg/viewform?edit_requested=true Thanks, casey |

Hi All, The machining has been taking a little longer than we expected, but the parts should be ready pretty soon. I'm going to start reaching out to people who submitted forms to confirm details and that you all are still interested. All of this batch have been claimed, but if you want to be on the list please fill out this form. It's likely that a couple people will cancel. Thanks, Peter |
Thanks for the update, Peter. I'm definitely still interested! |
Thanks for the update. I am in desperate need of one. |
Any update on the next batch of these? Would love to get my hands on one! |
Sorry for not updating here. Everyone who submitted the form should have been contacted, and most tools have shipped. |

I've made some pullers using 12mm ball screws rather than the 16mm I've used before. The machine threaded end of the screw is about the same section (or slightly larger) than a 3/8" bolt so it should work fine for pulling spun anchors but may not be a good choice for breaking them. This makes a lighter and more compact tool. Before I get a lot of asks, I've sent all the ones that I have made out to people who are hopefully replaceing bolts with them and I do not have any on hand. |

are you still fabbing these? I filled out the Google form few days ago. Thanks! |

We’re starting the process of making another batch that should be ready by late January/early February. The Google form is still the best way to get in the list for one. |

These went out today. I emailed everyone who submitted the form. If you submitted the form but didn't get an email, check your spam folder, or send me a message. If you didn't submit the form and are interested in a YABR, you can submit the form here. The remaining 7 were spoken for, but a few folks will likely back out. Fun note, in the last two years these have gone all over the US and to: Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Iraq, Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Portugal. Edited to add Thailand! |

Peter Thomaswrote: I brought one to Thailand too. Purchased it for them and used it to pull some bolts, its been working awesome! |

Peter Thomaswrote: Hey Peter, I just submitted the form. Do you still have one available? I love the blue edition and would be happy to get one down here to Czech Republic. |

Hi Peter, Rolf here from the Skaha Climbers Anchor Repair Society , local non profit representing anchor and bolt replacement in Skaha , Penticton BC. We have over 1500 routes , the majority carbon steel bolts. I’ve sent you a request, hopefully someone backs out( pun intended). |

Rolf Rybakwrote: If international shipping becomes an issue, I need an excuse to hop across the border to Skaha. Or could meet Rolf in Tonasket. |

Lots of interest recently! Fun to see where these end up, and the pictures/stories from their use. We’re currently out, but have started to get another batch together, which should be available in the next couple months. |
