How to know when to resole?

I’ve had a pair of TC Pros for about 7 months. My question is how do you tell it’s time to resole? Ideally I would like to get several resoles out of these shoes. Attached are pictures of the shoes atm. Thanks guys!

I usually send them in before the rand gets too worn down. I think it's extra for rand repair and sometimes can come out a bit wonky.

I don't see anything that would require resoling those shoes.

I send mine out for resoling when one of the following occurs:

1. The rubber on the sole on the front or big toe area is getting very thin

2. A tiny hole appears in the sole

3. The rand is getting holes where patching with Aquaseal isn't adequate anymore.

Edit: also, try dragging your toe against the wall less... unless you do a lot of thin face climbing, then this kinda wear is inevitable.

One trick one of the guys at R&R showed me is to check if you can see any of the toe rand when viewing the shoe from below (ie viewing the bottom of the soles). Means you're going to start wearing down the rand rubber when you're edging. I just dropped off a pair of Air Tommys with a tiny bit more wear than yours and they said it was perfect timing. Better to be slightly early when dealing with two-hundred-something dollar shoes

My opinion: DEFINITELY time to get those resoled. Earlier is way better than later. Desert Rock Sports is right with their assessment. If you wait till small holes appear in the sole or rand, you've waited FAR too long and it's time to bin those shoes.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
