Lightweight harness with larger gear loops, 5th gear loop, adjustable legs?

In search of a good lightweight harness with larger gear loops, 5th gear loop, and adjustable legs. I have a solution which I added my own 5th gear loop but I hate not having adjustable legs and the gear loops are too small for a double rack and a little too much to the rear for my liking. I’m using an old momentum for now and want something better. I tried the 395a and it was uncomfortable (leg loops sat weirdly high). The misty mountain sonic looks good but I think I want something maybe a bit lighter and less bulky. There’s some mammut harnesses that look like they could fit the bill and I’ve considered BD technician, but the gear loops look about the same size as the solution. Primary uses will be trad multipitch, usually with a double rack .3-3. Occasionally carrying a few larger pieces. Anyone have any recommendations?

Not sure if it meets your "light" criteria, but I like my Ocun Webee Quattro.  Lots of gear loops and they are where you can reach them.  Two belay loops.  Two adjusters at waist keep it centered.  Adjustable leg loops.  They are hard to find.  I bought one at Nomad in Josh, the other I ordered from Europe when Nomad couldn't get more in.

Petzl Sitta or BD Vision are both really light and packable that’ll hold a double rack + other stuff easily

I just upgraded from the older Petzl Aquila to the newer model and it is awesome. They added a 5th gear loop and a more robust haul loop. They also completely redid the padding system. Highly recommend as a lightweight yet robust harness.

Looks like a sweet harness but I’m looking for something a bit lighter and packable right now. Thanks for the recommendation

This actually looks like it could be just what I’m looking for. Probably going to try one, thanks a bunch

I have a wild country session which I like so far after about 6 months of use. 5th gear loop, adjustable leg loops, minimalist padding which works well for me. My biggest complaint is that sizing is such that there’s very little overlap between the small and medium so I had to choose between maxing out the waist and fully cinched. If your waist isn’t the same size as mine much less of a problem. Don’t know how it stacks up exactly it the weight category either.

Edelrid sendero

I found edelrid harness's to be super comfy considering the light weight nature.

I would like to add while the gear loops aren't huge, they're also not overlapping, angled or floppy so you can load them up to the gills. Only reason I switch back to bd was the edelrid was a little too fragile for my love of offwidths.

I've had a Petzl Adjama for a few years now and really like it.

Sitta doesn’t have adjustable leg loops and the leg loops it has are very small

I have never adjusted the leg loops on a harness and I have big legs for my size. If you want light weight, check out Blue Ice. I have the Blue Ice Choucas Pro in two sizes. It is very light and comfortable. I have one size for summer and a bigger for winther since the gear loops end up way back with winter clothing. The thickness of winter pants i marginal, but I dont notice any difference. They also have a model with adjustable leg loops.

Recently picked up an Arc'teryx cquence on the for sale forum here. 370g with 5 solid sized loops. I'm happy with it so far although haven't taken it on any multipitch yet. Definitely way comfier with significantly more loop space than the petzl hirundos that it replaced.

I second the Petzl Aquila as a solid option. The 5 gear loops are big.

Just curious, what’s your waist size and harness size/how do you find the fit? Seems like I’m right on the cusp of S/M but S is sold out everywhere.

If you're in between sizes, get the larger size otherwise the gear loops are positioned weird around your waist.  I was in between the M/L for the Adjama and went with the L and it fits fine and the gear loops sit perfectly for me.

I agree on the inbetween size issue. I bought the small Petzl Aquila and it is too small because of where the gear loops sit. If anyone wants to swap a SMALL Petzl Aquila for a MEDIUM Petzl Aquila, please reach out! The harness has been tried on once and never left my gear room.

I find it impossible to find any photos of the gear loops on the Weber Quattro, could you share with us?

Here are the gear loops on the Ocun Quattro harness. I have a size small collecting dust in my gear room because it’s too big for me. Reach out if interested and I can give you measurements and Zoom with you so you can see it. The harness has never been used.

Wild country session harness meets your criteria I believe.

I would be best fit in an XS but had to settle for a small. It fits me fine and the buckle is very good about not loosening up through use. If you wanted to cinch up a medium I'm sure you'd be fine. Skip the first elastic loop so you can tighten past it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
