Hi! My name is Venesa. 21 YO, Denmark.

This summer I am planning on an extended mountaineering trip in the alps. Not too sure exactly where yet, as most guided services and trips seems super expensive. I was wondering if it's possible to find someone interested in doing some relatively easy / intermediate climbs. My experience is limited. I did a succesfull ascent of Mera Peak (6476 m) last winter. Didn't have any real issues with altitude, though it's a not a technical climb  19216801.onl/   . I have done a basic mountaineering course in Jotunheim, Norway and would say I am fairly skilled in most rope work. On a good day I'm a 5.10 / 5.11 rock climber and boulderer.

Nevertheless, I am a beginner in true alpinism - eager to learn more and super determined.

Please hit me up in the comments if you have any tips or maybe feel like teaming up for something!

ALSO: I own all equipment myself and am perfectly ready to roll.

When during "Summer"? I'm an experienced backcountry skier and less experienced mountaineer (more than you have but still relatively new all things considered) looking for alpine partners while working remotely from Chamonix in May. Zero issue with easier objectives or slower paces if it means more days in the mountains!

In general, Cham is a pretty good place to find partners. There's some FB groups and a couple of bars there I can point you to if that's the direction you're going. Tons of mountaineering objectives all around.

Random question - Did your mountaineering course include crevassse rescue techniques? Some intro ones don't.

If you are 21, join a local (student) climbing/alpine club and go from there? That generally also means more standardized methodes, as everybody had similar course, instead different courses in different countries.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
