Ouray Ice Climb partners (TR only) - 03/03 - 03/05

Hi,

I'm new-ish to ice climbing. Looking to get as many laps in on TR for my first visit to Ouray. I do have all the gear including screws.

I would love to partner with someone who is safe and has more experience on ice than me :)

Assuming you're wanting to TR in the ice park, you can utilize the numerous excellent fixed anchors all along the gorge, but bring your screws to practice anchor building, etc. Anyway, there's a reasonable chance I could go up there Sunday. Unfortunately, I work Fri/Sat all day. I wish you luck finding partners. Shouldn't be too hard. Perhaps your group would be kind enough to let me tag along Sunday if things work out for me. I have many years' experience belaying rock and alpine and would enjoy sharing what I know about the sport. As it gets closer to the weekend, I'll have a better grasp of my schedule so lets stay in touch. Despite living nearby, I've not been able to spend much time in Ouray this season and would love to get a few sessions in prior to the thaw. Will check back for any reply later today. Cheers!

Thanks for your message. It is likely that there will be a few people on Sunday. We should be able to rotate on belays. Playing it by ear at the moment. I'll DM you my contact info.  

I could climb with you in the park on 3/3.  I submited this outreach below a week and a half ago, perhaps too early to get responses. I’m super safe with many years of multipitch rock and big wall ecperience. I’ve been ice climbimbing 5-10 days a season for about 8 years.
