Planning first trip to area to do moderate classics. Guidebook in English that would have lodging/ hut info a plus.

"The Dolomites: Rock Climbs and via Ferrata (Rockfax Climbing Guide Series)" has served me well over the course of a couple trips to the Dolomites! It has the classics, nice pictures, and other logistics beta.

There is a 2 volume series Mid Grade Trad Rock in the Dolomites ( one for the western part of the range, the other for the east). They are translated from Italian. They include a number of worthwhile looking ( haven’t climbed them) but less well-known routes, along with the classics, that might help you avoid the worst of the crowds.

Will second the above.

This is an English translation of a German guidebook that is very comprehensive for the long, easy to moderate trad routes

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
