Friction Labs - did they change the recipe?
|
|
I recently opened two new bags of friction labs (gorilla grip/blue bag), and both bags have chalk that doesn't feel like the stuff I'm used to. It feels kind of dusty/grainy, and makes my hands feel kind of slick...hard to describe, but it doesn't feel like their old stuff. Did they change their recipe? Anyone know? |

fancy chalk is a con |

Does it taste any different? |

I don’t normally buy friction labs chalk but it was the only choice on a recent climbing trip and I must say it felt just how you described. |

Could be your skin is overly dry and the chalk is less effective. Wood fingers in winter is a common issue for me now i live in a drier, higher elevation area |

It's chalk...... 99% magnesium carbonate, 1% very effective marketing. |

I've had a couple bad bags before it's super grainy, the chunks are so hard I can't break them up with my fingers, and it's just dry and doesn't stick to the hand. they were definitely bad bags I wonder if some moister got in them, I told the manager at the gym if I get another bag like that I'm trading it out. |

that guy named sebwrote: I just open it up right when I buy it and if it's not what I'm looking for I'm grabbing another bag, you can't be a push over, that's how you lose money and get taken advantage of |
