Worst/Least used piece of gear you own

Yea, I had a Jump for around 10 years and it was only retired when a concerned climber took it and cut it because it was so ratty.

I didn’t know what I was missing until I got a Big Gun with a trad buckle and my harness ceased to sag on my ass.

The Big Gun gets a lot of bad press but it is by far the most comfortable harness I have owned.  I did have to replace the leg loop risers with some shock chord because they were pretty weak but other than that its been a bomber harness.

Ha! I was going to take a pass on this one for fear of the flaming I'd take from the safety squad, but I'm with Phylp. "Worst" might be over-kill, but "least used" for sure.

So far as "Worst," as in used once and never again? Any kind of thin nuts for free climbing pro made of brass.

Same. Had the Gun for around 10 years too, was great but the loop risers were horrible, few years ago went to custom Cadillac and never looked back.   Trad buckle of course.

My figure 8 belay piece hasn't seen daylight for 20+ years and I recently gave away my largest black TCU in favor of the .75

Also, comes with 7 gear loops!

I had one of those and hated it. My ADD just got overwhelmed by all the loop options.

Yes, the little loops that overlapped the big ones were stupid.

I had a wide one, like the gun, added to the back of my caddy, pretty sweet but all said and done I paid $200+ for it!

BD #8 I love it. Their just isn’t that many offwidths in th SE

I bought a .5 big bro and a #1 big bro. Equivalent to a BD #3 and #4 Camalot, respectively. The #1 is almost totally useless and the .5 is a total joke. I keep it around because I’ve never even seen another one ever and probably never will. 

I feel like this thread is a scheme for someone to cobble together the world's most shameful frankenrack for $30 in shipping fees.

Old school Wild Country Zero Friends. 15 years ago when I was double income, no kids, I had enough money to just walk into a Yosemite gear shop and buy the whole set because they looked pretty. They are so bad.  So hard to place. I see they have a newer version so I can’t attest to how the new ones place.  I still had them reslung and have them in my bin because sometimes you need that many finger sized cams.  But I have since bought a lot of finger sized cams so they rarely ever come out.  

Oh I have a set of hexes too. I guess they see the light even less than these shitty cams. My partner insisted I would use them when I was buying my first rack. I don’t even place a lot of nuts unless cams won’t fit. So yeah. They sit in my bin too. I should probably get rid of them but haven’t found the time or inclination.

Small wired hexes, as in #1 - #3. The multi-size feature is ineffective, and they don't nestle in like stoppers/rocks/etc. and pop out with the slightest jostle.

Tricams. Haven't racked em in a couple years and won't even use them in an anchor any more. Too dang fiddly to place and a pain to clean 

BD Z4 .2 cam. Terrible action

I haven't touched my Camp Tricams for 20 years. I love the BD hexes for my area.  I've also climbed 32 years in a BD BOD harness with a double back buckle.  I've tried multiple other harness but just go back to the BOD.  I fear change.
