El Potrero Chico Mosquitoes?

I have a trip to EPC planned for Feb. with a friend who recently found out she's pregnant. Now she's trying to assess the risk of mosquito borne diseases in that region. I've seen reports of mosquitoes being anywhere from non-existent to pretty bad. So we're hoping to get some consensus - how bad are the mosquitoes this time of year in EPC?

I've been down there the past 2 Februarys and never seen a mosquitoe.
