Long walk through the burn
Pitches of granite for you
Time for double cracks

Two options you have
Take the wide or the finger
Only one more pitch left

Go tag the summit
And wave to our neighbors north
Back down for a swim

This multipitch leads you deep through brush and forest and across a creek on the approach (hmm, that's like half the climbs in Washington...), along with some approach slabs which feel very sketchy when wet (which is quite often). The second pitch is only 4th class, but many of the later pitches make up for it, including a sweet finger crack underneath fun knob climbing and an eponymous flake.

A bit more runout that it's neighboring routes, Perhaps this 5 pitch line was the  catalyst for future long sport routes in the valley.

Pitch one of six on this classic route resembles the 7th pitch of a long desert route in SW Utah, the second pitch of a route in WY, along with other routes throughout the PNW. However all of those other routes are on different rock types than the intention of the clue.

Bonus if you get either of the non-PNW routes.

Nice one Zach! Was thinking of Tatooine and El Matador along with the numerous basalt stem boxes. Haven’t come across too many others on granite.

This newly established route in a... very.... popular area is a great climb to do with your pals.
