Seeking feedback for those they have the epix2 or fenix 7 7s or 7x being used in the mountains wjheter its alpine rock or glacier travel or ski touring etc

my first time buying such a watch and I just love the amoled screen on epix and it seems to compensate for a smaller screen compared to fenix when lookimg at maps.

the fenix does seem dull and wondering if it really matters in real life application when you’re in daylight most of the time.

Nice clear screen vs more battery life I guess.

i mostly do only weekend adventures but hope to push it week long pursuits with a basecamp

Thanks

I just ordered an epix. Even for week long camps you can lower the display usage and you’ll have plenty of battery. Epix is the fenix with an AMOLED, if you want the brighter screen go Epix otherwise go Fenix

following and waiting for your first impressions and how it performs for climbing and moutain training in general

I have Fenix 7 SS, I would say Fenix might be better with its screen look clearer under the sun. Yes, it might look dull indoor compared to epic but it also save more battery outside, which matter more for a watch to go into mountain.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
