UIAA made date tags on soft goods when?

I know some manufacturers were doing it earlier but does anyone know when the UIAA made labeling soft goods with date of manufacture a requirement?

It's a requirement from the EU, not the UIAA.

CE certified PPE (EU certification) has always had some labelling required but the current manufacturing label with the factory symbol was implemented in 2018. The UIAA labelling requirements usually reference and mirror the CE requirements.
