Lloyd Price

Lloyd Price died in a car wreck in Oregon last week.

Very sorry to hear this. I did my first routes in the Valley with Lloyd--long before he was a guide, just another climber in Camp 4. While I hadn't seen him since that season--over 50 years ago, I still remember those climbs, his companionship and his climbing ability. RIP

The Mountain Room at Yosemite Lodge used to have a grand large photo of Lloyd leading a big wall overhang . In those days the waiters wore Filson wool knickers .
