I realize this space is for lost and found, however, I thought I'd try anyway. Was at silver star trailhead this morning (7/29) and someone smashed in my window and stole my climbing gear. The person didn't take anything other than climbing related stuff. They stole a double rack of mixed gear up to #6 (black diamond alien, metolius, DM), 70 meter pink/blue rope, in-reach mini, variety of soft gear and walkie talkies. All of the gear was clearly marked with nail polish and tape (though likely removed). Person walked away with a quote the haul. If anyone has a lead on my beloved gear, please PM me. :(

Bummer. Sorry about this bro. Rooting for you that it comes back. My friend got all her gear stolen from her car in downtown San Francisco (f*** that city) and started a GoFundMe. She raised enough to buy a good amount of stuff. Just a thought. I’d contribute a few greenbacks.

You might try locating at least the inreach if they turn it on Locating My Lost or Stolen Inreach device

That really sucks. I hope you somehow get it back.  Has me wondering if I should sew an Airtag into my gear bag....

Great idea above re. tracking the Inreach.

Note that to find your lost Inreach "For the locate option to work, it requires the inReach device to be powered on with a clear view of the sky and enough battery power to stay on."

So if your lost or stolen Inreach is turned off, you're out of luck.

^ Very true. Am wondering if you can see or find out locations it pings from when (last) turned on.

Thanks y'all! It's major bummer. I'm hoping to the turd muncher turn on the in-reach and I'll track their whereabouts. If anyone sees a chunk of gear listed on any forums that seems suspicious, let me know and I'll provide a reward!!!

Yerp. If they turn it on, I'll be able to track, otherwise nothing I can do. With Garmin, you can have them cancel the device and not allow for any activation of the device. I'm going to wait a bit to see if they turn it on and the deactivate it.

Unfortunately I don't think an in reach signal is enough to get a warrant. We had a break in at Cascade Pass few years ago and got a gps pin afterwards of a stolen inreach. But the police said it was not enough to get search warrant. Maybe times have changed though. I have been completely gutting my car and leaving it unlocked lately. Theft sucks. Good luck.

My stuff is being posted for sale on multiple neighborhood selling apps. If you see a large chunk of gear (most of it is not shown in the pics) and listed at $1200 or described as "lots of good climbing gear," please contact me if you happen to chat with him.

Thanks y'all.
