App synching fails to pass 33%.

It just always tries to synch and always fails. Android. I read old posts about turning off the synch, but there is no such option in settings. Searching for "synch" shows some climbs.

100% of the time Synch fails at 33%. Touching the area again just starts over again at zero. Endlessly.

I uninstalled and reinstalled with same effect.

How can I use this app, is this app not possible to use?

I'm having the same issue on a Pixel 4a trying to update the California downloaded area. Could be a California issue? 

I have Pixel 5a. It's working now. Not sure why. Glad though. Potentially Pixel Problem?
