nah, I prefer mine!

- great freedom of movement

- very breathable (once you poke a couple of holes in them at least)

- Windproof & Waterproof

- BONUS: Really helpfull to signal if you're in need of rescue

man, i have to disagree with this one. bless their hearts, but who would make "light" pants that only come in dark colors.  ugghhhh. probably the same folks that make lightweight biners that won't fit into pins...

someone mentioned the ferrosis. these are almost awesome, but the front pockets are terrible. be prepared for your keys to fall out of your pocket every time you go somewhere.  it boggles my mind that they would make pockets like these.

probably my best pair of light pants are a pair of marmot pants i bought a few years ago. light tan, good pockets, pretty tough.

Fair enough, my BD Alpine light pants stretched into parachutes, so looking to try something else now.

So, bump for any other options with summer around the corner.

Anyone tried the new OR Ferrosi Crux? These look cool but OR sizing seems wacky. The waist of the regular Ferrosi seems to be at least 2 sizes bigger than stated... anyone else have this experience?

OR Ferrosi is great, light, stretchy. I'm sure something more breathable is out there though.

I do think the OR sizing is wacky, although I did not experience it in the same way. My OR Ferrosi pants were 2 inches longer than every other pair of pants I had with the (supposedly) same inseam length. Also interested if anyone has tried the Ferrosi Crux, they do seem cool.

Anyone have experience with the NW Alpine Volo Pant?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
