Looking for a used Garmin Fenix. Ideally a Fenix 6 Solar, but let me know what you've got. Also open to Coros models actually! Thanks! |

Hi Sean. I have a Fenix 3 if that would work for you. Has charging cord but no box. $100 plus shipping (from FL) Cheers Barry |

I picked mine up fenix 5, on amazon as a refurbished for a great price. You may want to check there |

Hah! I also bought a 5X for a great price, from a mate, which is why the 3 is up for sale. Cheers Barry |

Same, 5x off ebay at a pretty hefty discount, the one problem was, despite appearing as if it was factor reset, it still had the activities from the former owner, so I had to go through and delete a few hundred activities. The 6s are still fairly new so it might be tough finding one used (I think they just released the 7s recently). I've been very happy with my 5 for GPS, but the heart rate leaves some to be desired. Also, if I were to do it again, I would do the normal size, not the X. I never use the pulse ox and the larger size on the wrist can be cumbersome at times. We got the 6 solar for my wife on sale, and it was still close to $700 after tax |

Decided im also open to Coros watches as well. I think the 3 is a bit too old for me Barry, thanks. Mike, does your wife find the solar to be worth it? I initially thought I wanted that but now think I won’t quite need those extra hours of battery on long outings. Is she happier with the wrist heart rate on the 6? |

The difference between the different wrist HRs on the watches is pretty negligible: all are decent under optimal conditions, but none is particularly accurate, especially as cold, sweat, and humidity become an issue. I’ve been using a coros apex for a few years now and do HR based training. I use a chest strap which recently died, and the wrist HR seems a little higher, and is more prone to cadence locking (showing cadence instead of HR when it can’t get a good reading). I had to get a stress test recently, and wore the watch while attached to an EKG. The wrist was consistently higher (5-15bpm) until my HR was maybe 155 where they converged. A friend runs with a new garmin Fenix and it has the same issue. If you want good HR data, a strap is the best way. A new coros apex is the same price as a last gen Fenix and they are a TON of watch for the money with insane battery. I charge my battery every month or so - it’s crazy. Can’t recommend coros enough. |

I have a gamin forerunner 630 I was planning to list if your interested. No HR monitor but as noted, you really need a chest strap to get accurate data. |

Sean Andersonwrote: We've never compared performance, so I don't know if the 6 gets you much more HR performance. She likes the solar, but I don't actually think it buys you all that much, like, I think it's something like (completely made up numbers) 28 hours of tracking in non-solar and 32 hours in solar. |

I have a Suunto 5 that I just listed if you're interested. Not as good as the Fenix, but likely a lot more reasonable. Gps, hr monitor etc etc. |

I have a 5 sapphire I'd part with. Pretty scratched up but works. Screen is fine (cause sapphire).
This watch, and the 5 it replaced, have always been inaccurate. Stand in the same place and your mileage will slowly creep up. I think it's just the way it is, but maybe they fixed it on the newer ones. |

Yea that was my impression with the solar, Mike. Unless you're on an expedition out in the sun all day, it seems like a pretty small benefit for most people. I'll have to pass on the Suunto 5, thanks Steve. |
