Does anyone have recommendations for large single matchable slopers that are good to use(v5 and up) on a 35-45 degree wall? I would like 1 or 2 large single holds instead of that standard set of 5s.

Check out Atomik…. They have a range of products that may work well for you.

10' (tall) x 8' (wide) @ 33 degrees overhanging. I think if it were any bigger, i would never leave the house to go climbing haha

Did you make some of those big wood slopers (left of the big pink blob)? What did you make them out of?

They're actually Metolius wood holds! Really great comfy holds. Super slick!

Just added this crack to Le Swol Barn. Built from 1x10x12. Adjustable from tight hands, to off hands. Inside is coated with textured spray paint. It’s steep and hard.

My 45 degree moonboard/spray wall. Along with a 25 degree wall and campus board.

Nice setup Johnny. How is the hangboard on the side of the wall working out for you? Are you able to hang freely from it without the wall getting in the way? Been thinking of doing something similar.

Thanks for the compliment! The hangboard on the side works great for me. I haven’t ran into any problems at all Including pull ups and legs raises. Having it right in there next to the board has been great for warming up as well.

Johnny,

How do you like your moonboard at 45 degrees?

I’m assuming he means 40°. 45° would be brutal on those holds.

Any reason why you went with texture and not bare wood?

Let me just slide into those DMs then. I kept mine bare because it forces me to jam harder.

I have a moonboard in my garage that's at 45 and I love it. It's obviously tougher than at 40, but how much depends a lot on the hold. Problems on more positive holds are a bit harder, but not because the holds are any harder to hold onto; the moves are just a bit tougher I guess. However, when the holds get slopey you really notice the difference; that big sloper middle right and the A finishing hold (2016 set) are pretty condition dependent. Lol. I'm very happy with it though and I don't wish it were any different.
