Getting an Xbox to Improve My Climbing?

I have been debating on getting an Xbox to help my climbing.

Pros for an Xbox:

• I will better recover for my climbing, the other day I got 25000 steps from skiing/running and then I went to the climbing gym with low energy because I didn't have anything better to do
• It helps me eat less ice cream, when I played competitive Halo in my younger years I would just not eat all day
• I'll spend less time garbage brain posting since I will an intellectual superior on xbox live
• My dog loves it when I sit on the couch all day
• I am not sure how ranking works in the new games but I used to make about $60 a month selling xbox live accounts

Cons:

• My brain will become more of a garbage dump
• I could buy one pair of climbing shoes instead
• I could just play Halo and never climb again (back in the day I had a MLG 50 and my k/d was around 1.9)
• I couldn't get into competitive Smash or competitive counterstrike so Halo/Xbox games might not interest me that much

Has anyone bought an Xbox and climbed better because of it?

I do not own an xbox and I climb like shit.

If you could just convince some of the crowds at the crags to play video games instead of climbing that would be great :)

I bet your thumbs get super strong.. the mid section, probably not so much...

Why revisit an old vice when you already have a "healthy" one going atm? 

Edit: The real question is what do you want to do with your "free" time? It's precious, spend it well. 

If you listen to Ondra's recent talk on the Nugget he said he uses a Playstation (I think some weird Czech company makes em)

Elden Ring is on Xbox and I think you should prepare for that by playing the Souls series. It should only take you a year or so and you can bash your head against a wall virtually to recover from bashing your fingers against a wall in reality.

Well I’ve owned Xboxes since their inception in 2002 and my climbing has slowly but surely improved and continues to do so.  Definitely causation!

Check out the steam deck that’s coming out. Shit looks tight. Basically every game ever in a handheld that can also get plugged into your tv. I’m pretty fired up on it

Back before I climbed I owned an Xbox, and I was a far happier person. 

Update I did buy an xbox. AV while I agree PC gaming is more legit, I just get destroyed in counterstrike. I technically already have/had a gaming PC. While counterstrike can be a llittle toxic, xbox live is that cesspool I crave. I did lightly strain my index finger playing so much and after 10 years of no FPS I am terrible. Lol.

The other stat is more notable, I mostly included it to provide some context to how much halo I played. Much like when someone says they are a climber and you wonder if that means free solo freerider or top roped a 5.2 at the gym. Flame on!! I was also a 50 in everything other than big team, which is probably more notable. I had a few clips make it on Espn top 10 for esports but I can't seem to find them on youtube :/ .

Tell you what you seem pretty obsessed with me. My account that it is on is probably Dbn Rev, DBZ rev, or Reach to Rev. Get a website achieve app for 2010, go in and go to bungie.net. On there search for these gamer tags. There should be a clip on narrows snipers the score should be about 33-47. The other option is to go on here and go through all the clips looking for a rev the video quality is trash. They did it weekly for years, so your gonna have about 1,000 clips to parse through (I believe I had two clips make it one being narrows and the other on the pit). Or tell yourself it didn't happen and be on your merry little way!

Cole you do realize I could just find a top 10 highlight then create an account with the similar name if I really wanted to give you fake proof? My way actually verifies that it was me...
