What is the softest bouldering area?

In your opinion, what is the softest bouldering area in the US? Not that my opinion is backed by a lot of experience or hard grades but as a person with a large wingspan, I consider Stone Fort and Moe’s to be rather featherbagged compared to say Devil’s lake and Stony Point. |

From what I hear, Colorado. |

|
I heard that your gym is way soft |

Red Rock by farrrrr |

yeah. older shit is sandbagged. |

Red Rocks in general HCR has softer than the norm low/moderate grades. |

St George always makes me feel super strong. |

Wrong Masswrote: Like I said, the newer climbs. The guidebook has FA dates in it I think. Look for recent stuff. Like the pearl and the dyno and alexisizer are hard af but they're pretty old. Honestly I probably haven't climbed there enough. Ditto on Moe's valley. If you have long arms. My partner is small and struggles there. |

Everywhere but where I’m currently climbing. |

caesar.saladwrote: Most of the newer climbs are prob like v10+'s right? Do you mean they're softer for those grades or do you think theyre like easier than the classics like alexsizer? |

RR and moes for sure. |

Wrong Masswrote: Yeah they are the higher grades. But they are soft for the grade. |

Moe's didnt feel too soft as long as you stick to the classics. Stone Fort and Chattanooga in general is meggggaaaa soft. I have gotten every single "highest grade" in chatt. |

L Mitchwrote: I went to moes once and it felt way softer than LCC, maybe thats cuz it just rained tho, maybe the rock doesnt dry as quick as LCC? I dont know I thought it was more comfortables on the skin tho so I was able to climb a lot longer that day. Too bad the weather wasnt great or I would have been out there all day |

Hi all, thats easy, Hands down Castle Rock State Park Ca, V easy is a project LOL :-) happy climbing Mike A. |

Maybe it just fits my style, but I’ve always been surprised by what I can send at Joe’s. |

Stefanos Apostlewrote: Sandstone (Moes is that, right? Maybe nice rock, idk) is weird like that sometimes. The friction is better when it’s moist, just like perfectly damp. I do have really dry skin so maybe the wet rock brings my skin to the correct moisture level. Everyone there seems to avoid the rock when it’s wet so maybe it is just me that prefers it like that, Idk. |

Jack Lwrote: uhhh not sure if a joke but not kosher to climbing when the rock is wet for Moe's. mountainproject.com/area/10… |

Jack Lwrote: My hands are like the opposite (wet), so I have to use antihydral but sometimes I use too much and I have to wait til the rock is a little damp like you say. I thought maybe its just me but thats cool to hear it feels better for other people too! |
