My wife and I are moving to Monticello in a few weeks, we are looking to link up with some local folks and start making some friends. Shoot me a PM if you live in the area and want to link up and climb, run, bike, ski, or whatever!

Good on ya, I've yet to meet any outdoor folks in Monticello (a few that tried and left) but it really could be a great place to live. I'm just to the east in Montezuma County, would be stoked if there's enough snow to ski the Abajos this winter!

We will see about the snow this year, fingers crossed! We love the location and the quiet life. Lots of trail to be explored and plenty of cracks to climb.

It looks like there are plenty of people getting after it in Monticello, just need to find them, I figured I would start looking before we got out there. Keep us in mind if you are heading west and want to hang.

Best of luck. We were there for a while recently and it looked like the cafe is a decent place to meet people, though many may be passing through. Would be interested to hear how it goes!

Hey Cory, I sent you a PM, or at least I think I did haha. Let me know if it came through! Thanks!

Uh-oh, the cat's out of the bag. Yeah, man Monticello is great. I love the location for access to climbing, biking, rivers, canyons, and even the big peaks of the San Juan Range.
