Anyone know where I can find 1/2” webbing in different colors?

I used to be able to buy it by the foot in any store that sold ropes and chalk. 

Mtn Tools has black, blue and red last I checked. Assuming you mean 1/2" tie off webbing, not 9/16" climb spec.

I want to give my cams some slings. I used 9/16” I think. 

Oh yeah def 9/16" for that, 1/2" is good for like 4 kn or something really low. Good luck finding the right colors.

The 9/16" nylon webbing we used in the 1980s and 1990s was commonly referred to as "supertape". It was about double the thickness of 1/2" webbing, while being only slightly wider. Strong stuff. The appearance of the weave was different than the 1/2" and 1" tubular which had tiny transverse ribs. It seemed to me that Supertape faded into obscurity, maybe 20 years ago, so I don't know if it is still available.

Brands have marketing departments that most likely aim to sell added value webbing- sewn runners.

It is readily available at REI etc off the spool. I use it a lot. 15 kn or so single strand. Limited colors though. The smooth weave stuff is referred to as climb-spec, and is also available in 1". The 1" with the transverse ridges is mil(itary)-spec.
