moosejaw has 25pct off climbing gear right now and 10pct cash back thru active Junky.  Beal Birdie gri-gri clone is $50, before cash back so comes down to $45. Petzl attache on sale too

Moosejaw sale right now, lots of climbing gear is already discounted and you get another 15% off clearance items with "MMMPIE" (yes it stacks with the sale price). I just loaded up on ice screws for basically 45% off before tax/active junky (which kinda cancel each other out).
Otherwise use "CLIMBING20" for 20% off a full priced climbing item, including cams and they have lots of sizes of C4s and Friends in stock.
Use activejunky for 10% back on Moosejaw.
Moosejaw rewards also gives you 10% back on full priced items and like 2.5% back on sale items.
Some stuff is an absolute steal over there right now. Sales like this make buying used gear seem so silly.

Picked up a microtrax for $75 After AJ.  That’s better than anything used I’ve seen on the buy/sell forum for a long time.

I got one from banana fingers for $65 about a year ago. No sales needed, and no needing to wait for AJ cash back months down the road. I shared the deal on here, and the price went up shortly afterwards.

I can constantly find extremely good deals from BF and Epic.tv, but I got tired of always sharing my finds on here. European made gear is always significantly cheaper when you buy it from Europe and get it shipped. It doesn’t even take longer to deliver; which is mind boggling, since American companies struggle so much to get stuff delivered in a timely fashion.

it’s also a company I would much rather support than moosejaw (Epic and BF are owned by the same people)

Bought a microtrax from varuste.net (Finland) for $52 about 9 months ago. Was backordered so it took about two months.

Epic.tv is offering 12% off when you buy two pairs of climbing shoes

I got LS geniuses from them for like $120 awhile ago without discount.

Free shipping over $178ish and it’s also tax free. F**k taxes.

I bought some stuff from varuste and epicTV as well, both are great and legit. Full set of Totems from varuste after shipping was like $75 each, and Petzl gear from varuste and alpinstore are seemingly always on sale, just have to buy enough gear to spread out the cost of shipping. Although varuste's packaging was a bit minimalist (literally a paper bag with ice axes in it) and FedEx stole the first delivery, so it took a couple months of hassle to get my money refunded. Just keep your orders under $800 USD to avoid import tarifs when shipping from overseas.

anyone who wants 44.5 TX4's, there's a nice set on ebay right now for 60 bucks. item number is 124902841153. They look "like new," to my eye...

20% off climbing gear, looks good. Not awesome, but good enough

https://www.campsaver.com/mkt-ocktober-100121.html?_iv_availability=in-stock

------

Also Mountain Steals have 20% off on top of all the items, that are already 60% off or more

With promo code LASTCHANCE

That is great!

Wow, is it just me or did cam prices go kind of bonkers in some instances? Take note that 20% off the regular priced items might not be less than MSRP from not that long ago:

See the tiniest dragonfly for example: https://www.campsaver.com/dmm-dragonfly-cam.html?_iv_availability=in-stock&_iv_deal-types=seasonal&_iv_code=Z08-CT6-DMM11-A7551A

Without a coupon code (and with "VIP pricing ON" - unchanged before/after I logged into my campsaver account) with $7 shipping it rings up to $105!!! I got that same cam in 2019 for $75 from backcountry shipped, and later got a couple different size dragonfly cams from alpenglow on sale for $45 each! With the coupon code it knocks 20% off, bringing it to just under $10 more than I paid.

I suggest before you pull the trigger to shop around and check to see if prices are inflated (hopefully they'll go back down eventually?)

(and deal: backcountry is having a good sale on winter gear: https://www.backcountry.com/rc/shop-all-sale?rp=onsaleUS%3Atrue&INT_ID=IB28006)

Per a friend in the industry, supply chain issues and increasing pricing in the aluminum industry are driving prices up. As of Thurs/Fri black diamonds pricing supposedly increased across the board on products.

Who knows, it's possible we're seeing real time inflation influencing pricing.

Not a great deal, but here’s a warning. MSRPs are rising.

z4s are going up in price at multiple retailers. They are now $80 at many locations

I personally prefer dragonfly’s for micro sizes, but I think that .3-.5 z4s are the best bang for your buck cam on the market for the $70 price tag.

I imagine that we will see many items rise in price due to the insane inflation created from our overeaction to COVID. USPS just raised their shipping rates two days ago, for example.

Edit: sorry I didn’t notice that this was already lightly spoken about

It's not advertised, but I just got a 20 dollar gift card free after I bought Mammuts Crag we Care from REI.

I think they are actually just giving $20 gift cards if you spend over $100 right now, on anything. but watch out, its one of those things were its only good for like 1-2 weeks.

I dont like moosejaw, but they have a pretty good setup right now

$25 back when you spend $75 or more on top of the typical 10% for full-price items, and free shipping over $50

I got a Wc zero friend for $85 after tax/shipping, but I got $34 back in moosebucks, and I need more carabiners, so I'll be using those moosebucks with a % discount on a rack pack soon enough.

I'm sorry but free REI gift cards with purchase, or extra moose-bucks, or any kind of extra reward poimts with purchase, free shipping, etc. does not qualify as a "Great online deal" in my opinion.  These are just ploys to keep you buying their shit.  $20 gift card with $100 purchase is not 20% off;  it is $20 off of a $120 purchase, which is closer to 15% off.  15% off is not a great deal.  I guess the $25 back with a $75 purchase is better, but still just 25% off and requires you to keep buying their stuff, probably at full price.  not really a 'great' deal either.  Sorry if I'm the one that's wrong here, but I dont really consider it a great deal unless it is 40% off or more.  If you look hard enough, you can likely find anything for 25% off somewhere.

The $25 stacks on top of the 10% you already get. If you do the math, I am getting right around 40% off with the deal I mentioned. It is also not common for free shipping to be as low as $50. Usually at least $100 needs to be spent. You can also stack active junky on top of it. So anywhere from 40-50% off with what I just mentioned

Black friday is only six weeks away, I plan to hold onto the reward cash till then.

edit: JD I got $34 back after paying $84 with tax and shipped. This isn’t complicated. I got over 40% off. I just have to wait to actually be able to use that discount; which is fine by me.

There are always great deals on Black Friday for actually useful stuff. I already stated that I need more biners, so a deal like this works fine for someone like myself.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
