What’s a good underwear for days on the big wall? How does one deal with all that sweat and odor? Currently running bamboo fabric down in the canyon, but while its soft and controls odor, it doesn't wick moisture well. Recommendations please.

A good merino one will do. Smartwool or icebreaker for ex.

l like to wear nylon running shorts as undaroos in the mountains/under harness. With the internet to hold your cohones in place and slick nylon to wick quick and glide slick under yer pantalones.

Gonna give both the ExO nylon and IceBreaker Merino a try. Thanks.

None. I hate underwear especially while wearing a harness.

IceBreaker merino wool won the day. The ExO nylon tended to bunch up. Both did well in wicking and odor control.

This may sound like a joke as the brand seems geared more toward fashion oriented folks, but MeUndies are AWESOME. I can wear the same pair for 5 days on the wall with zero odor or discomfort. Inevitably I’ll get a lil brown where there shouldn’t be and it always washes right out without any special cleaning. PLUS they’re the most comfortable underwear I’ve ever had. I’ve been climbing in them (almost) exclusively for the last 5 years and threw my first pair away last year because it was finally getting some holes. I’ve used smart wool before and they ripped to shreds within months. That was awhile ago though so maybe they’ve stepped up their game?

These are good if there are sketchy pitches.

The brynje merino layers could be an interesting option too, if you don't mind people thinking you're a little weird. Durability is gonna be the trade off for the odor control with any merino vs synthetic layer.

Montbell used to make briefs and thermals that were made of Dri-On with Odor fighting thread. These have been my go to for countless trips, even alpine , expeditions and canoe / rafting trips. I have used for 25+ years and they have held up great, no stink and run through the laundry just fine. I really wish they were available! I am liking the "DEPENDS" idea. Do your thing, wipe, deposit in the tube and put on a fresh one.
