Woodworking: help what is the name of this fastener

Screw insert? I can only find threaded versions of this online. I want the unthreaded ie works with wood screws version.

Yeah that’s the idea. Those are pretty cool. The one I have is just a press in for a counter sunk hole. It’s just there to keep the screw from digging into the wood and eventually leading to tear out. I believe Pete Whittaker calls them “screw cups” in a video about their crack trainers.

Hmm a name I would never guess but also makes sense. However, I still can’t seem to find a supplier searching under the name “screw dimples”. Do you happen to have a link to where I can buy some?

My bad. I thought it was the piece that goes on the end of your screwtip but to keep you from drilling to deep into drywall. I was telling you the wrong items name.
