I'm in the bay area (South Bay - climbing at PG Sunnyvale/Belmont) and looking for preferebly a more experienced trad/crack climbing partner. I've been climbing for 4-5 years now, and have always leaned more towards adventurous climbing than sport climbing and want to continue building in that direction. I'd like to find someone to climb with that I can both learn from and that I can provide a competent second too.
A bit about me:
* I've swapped leads on The Citidel - Costanoan and Machete Ridge (Old Original) in Pinnacles National Park * Lead some easy single pitch trad in Castle Rock/Tahoe * Taken several anchors/trad lead courses, read through John Long's anchors book, and continue to practice my anchors and self-rescue rope skills fairly often * Lots of single pitch / TR climbing around the bay/Tahoe (took a break during the hieght of Covid) * Climbed Mt. Baker (guided), Mt. Shasta via West Face (unguided - self planned team of 2) * I've got a basic trad rack * I've been diligently learning crack climbing - competent at 5.10's ~hand-jams/fists at PG
I have a strong desire to be an old climber in a few decades, I'm a fan of keeping things as safe as possible and hope to find a partner that honestly shares that value. Let me know if your interested here or in a DM. I'd like to meetup either over a coffee/beer or just at PG and do some climbing and see if we click.
Hey Adam P, I responded to your DM but you haven't replied. I suspect maybe replies are going to an old email (based on the e-mail address). If you see this can you send me your current email in a DM if you're still interesting in meeting up!
Also thank you to everyone else that responded, I responded to all of you that I received DM's from. I'm looking forward to meeting up with you folks!
