Best beginner cracks near Denver?

Hey there, I'm looking to do some easy/beginner crack climbs on gear later this summer. I was thinking South Platte but am open to other suggestions. |

Jack Crackersonwrote: Those are both good but in eldo. Easier and also in eldo The Bomb and Recon. Several at Turkey Perch, Classic Dihedral at Bucksnort Slab, Roll Dem Bones and the one next to it at Da Butts. |

Killian’s Dead 5.6 and the 5.7 next to it, at North Table Crack Corner 5.7 at Animal World 5.8 Crack at Lookout Mountain All of these are quite easy, involve at least a few obligatory jamming moves, and you can set up a TR by walking to the top if needed. I had a similar thread a few months back: https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/119507004/good-crack-climbs-for-beginners |

Prav Cwrote: I found Killians Dead & the route next to it strange or mixed jamming / face climbing. Would suggest Big Dihedral (5.8) ~100ft to climber's right as an alternative with more sustained and enjoyable jamming. All good climbs tho. |

I would suggest not going to North Table in the summer... |

T Dwrote: Definitely too hot for much of the day. However, I've had some nice sessions arriving at 6 am and climbing until 10 am or so. |
