Anyone going to PPCA Turkey Rocks Event?
|

I'm new to the area and still looking for climbing partners to get outside. Would like to get involved and help with conservation of the climbing areas around here so I found the PPCA site and saw there was an event at Turkey Rocks. I'm new to trad so I was hoping to find people to climb with and gain some knowledge from. Not sure how these events work so I wanted to post something and see if I can meet some people before. Cheers |

Depending on road conditions I will likely go. Apparently, there's now an area with very deep ruts but I don't know how deep and if I could make it in my Nissan Rogue. |

When is the ppca turkey rocks event? Sounds pretty cool but I couldn’t find anything on the ppca website |

Ah damn, I’m out of town this weekend, but should be fun |

TJ Bindseilwrote: Looks like they removed it from the events page. I tried checking the PPCA IG and Facebook pages but everything seems a little out of date. I emailed them so I'll let you know what I find out, but I'm wondering if it was cancelled due to the road washing out and not knowing when it would be fixed. BTW, from another forum topic, sounds like the road was fixed. |

I also checked the web pages this morning and couldn't find any information on the event, as it was posted at least a monthorso ago. Looks like it may have been cancelled? |

Received a reply back from PPCA last night. They weren't sure how long it was going to take to fix the road so they wanted to be safe and push the event out. The new date for Tacos at Turkey will be June 26th and they'll post it on the website in a couple days. |

Christopher Smith wrote: The Google maps imagery had a date stamp of 2021 and considering there was no snow on the ground, I'd say it was fairly recent. |
