Favorite discontinued gear

The original Patagonia Rhythm pant designed with help from Ron Kauk. They had an odd logo that resembled a boulder. The story was that Ron doodled that while they were in a meeting. The design was like a pair of jeans (probably Ron's idea for obvious reasons) only with a technical fabric.

Goldline was like climbing with steel winch cable.   Glad that went the way of the Dodo.

The Lava Domes were awesome!  I went through at least 3 pairs of the 1st gen.  Even by today's standards those were great shoes.

I knew a guy that bought three pair at once....

Heh, I still have 3 of these 4.

Campbell's Saddlewedges -- #2 (red) was the best.  The line seemed to start at #2.  Guess they made a #1, but I never saw one.

OR Cirque pants. The Cirque II blows (for me at least)

Scarpa Quest.  Fit me perfectly.  Used them for everything and eventually played golf in them instead of spikes.  The Scarpa Zen which is the same upper was never as good. Scarpa Crux was not even close to the same quality. 

Scarpa Rebel Ultra and Rebel Pro mountaineering boots (their successors lack a toe welt for full auto crampon)

Dynafit TLT5 (a more climbing oriented ski touring boot than its successors)

Julbo Bivouak sunglasses

Petzl Attache round stock locking carabiners (perhaps all of their old screwgates if the reports of the new screwgate design getting stuck occasionally are true)

Previous version of Petzl harnesses with actual sewn loops for the ice screw clippers to secure to (instead of relying purely on the clipper’s keeper to stay attached to the harness)

Love the steel at wear points and smooth action for guide mode.

I have an auto-locking one I sometimes use for clipping webbing to bolts for TR anchors, but I never thought it was spectacular. Why do you like it so much?
