Recently picked up a bunch of old gear and I don't do any ice climbing so these gotta go! A bunch of screws - Chouinard, grivel 360, and some others. Most are slightly dulled but they all definitely seem serviceable and the five on the bottom row are still super sharp! A couple random picks as well, the new one fits a BD cobra. Asking 200$ and I'll throw in the picks and shipping on the house. Only selling as a set.

Average condition of the Chouinards ^

The pick in the middle of the photo appears to be a BD Aermet pick. Legendary for its toughness, but the tip is broken off.

If you decide to piece this out I’ll take the Lowe pound in and a few of the chouinard screws.

I broke more of those aermet picks than i expected. Actually sent a couple back to BD and they tested them as not being as strong as anticipated. And we’re not to spec. They sent me new picks without hesitation.

Should have "aermet" stamped into the pick.  I still have a few of them floating around.

Recall that I did break one...

I'd take the screw with the sheet metal looking handle, between the old BD and the Snarg.

Will throw in this pair of old foot fangs with the purchase as well! Still completely functional!

Bumpski for those old school climbers!

The first eight screws have some value. Probably the 10 bucks a piece you want. Sell them separately and someone will buy them pretty quick I’d imagine. Otherwise I’d be shocked if anybody buys these as one whole lot.

No worries they my take a bit more work but for less than 1/5 the price of new screws I hope someone can use them

I’m not sure how much you know about ice climbing, or the gear that is currently available, but pretty much all of those screws are so outdated as to be obsolete. The grivel helix screws would sell for maybe $10 a piece. The rest of them should be sold to whoever wants them for the price of shipping and maybe a 6-pack. BD Express screws that are in great shape and are miles ahead of what you have here technologically, regularly sell on mt proj for $30, and sometimes $25. The old screws are sweet pieces of history, and would be fun to try out and use just to get a laugh out of your mates, but as far as practicality goes, there isn’t really a reason to use them. This is coming from someone who enjoys doing things like leading WI5 with only spectres, and an old Lowe pound in for gear. If I were you I’d open this up to individual takers, and know that the only people who will buy these screws are those that appreciate them for what they are, a piece of history.

If you happen to know any guides, you might check and see if they'd be interested just so their clients can practice with the old Chouinards.

You might try posting on eBay, ice fisherman sometimes are looking for anchors.

I'd still be interested in the sheet metal handled screw; I think it's an old MSR, and the BD pick with a tag on it.
