I am looking for some retired cams for an art/decorating project. If you have any, you are holding onto and wouldn’t mind parting with, I’d like to see them. |

Both were hammered out of the rock with a 15” masonry chisel. I wanted to grind off the axle rivets on the C4 to learn how they’re put together, assuming it wouldn’t interfere with your art. Still interested? |

JFrost! Is that the #1 from big dihedral?!? I was going to go up there and cut it out. |

Cory Nwrote: Sure is. I hammered it out sometime late February. I was sick of seeing it stuck there. The totem came out of the top of Killians dead the same morning. |

Have an old ABC #3 TCU if it’s something your looking for? Cable sheath is cracked and coming apart is the reason for retiring.

J.Frostwrote: With how fresh those cams look it would probably have been easier to just clean them normally. Worst case, hitting the axles with a heavy rod usually walks the cams and removes them without damage (and without damaging the rock). To the op: I have a couple of .3 C4's with slightly tweaked lobes and broken triggers, can dig them up if you're interested. |

Ben Kraftwrote: Ben, By the time I found the #1 Camalot someone had reefed on it so hard with a nut tool as to bend the lobes. It resisted everyone’s normal attempts for a couple of months before I hammered it out. And I can assure you it wasn’t coming out any other way. I had to walk it out with blows on the head for about five minutes to get it loose enough to come out of there. The totem had similarly resisted everyone’s normal cleaning attempts for several months and was irreparably damaged before I started beating on it. And to be clear, these were pulled from North Table Mountain in Golden Colorado. When I say everyone, we are probably talking two dozen attempted removals every weekend. Multiply that by six for two months of weekends minus a couple weekends of crummy weather and a these things had somewhere around a hundred and fifty or more people try to clean them normally before I beat them out of the rock with my hammer and chisel. No damage to the rock was observed while removing of these already broken cams. |

Haha homeboy isn't wrong. I was going to bring a hacksaw up there and cut that #1 out. The lobes were mangled. If you want North Table booty you need to get there in the morning and be one of the first ones to work it. |

My buddy used a nut tool and rock to move the totem up and down about 8". It was tight! |
