Was headed out to Moab this weekend when I spotted a wonderful bit of sandstone north of US 160 between Tsegi and Kayenta. Was wondering if anyone had any info on this area. Pics for ID, but they don't do it justice!

Be sure to ask the land holders and the Chapter house officials before you enter Reservation land to climb. There are specific areas that the Navajo Nation has put off limits, like Canyon De Chelly. The Leupp Chapter worked with Richard Fernandez to open up Diablo Canyon. Contact him for insights into climbing on the Navajo Reservation.

Please don't trespass.

Especially right now. With COVID, nobody on the reservation wants outsiders coming around. That will change, but please respect their rules to prevent the spread of COVID--the reservation is off limits to outsiders right now.

Also no way of knowing how "wonderful" any rock is until you pull on it. There are miles and miles of colorado plateau rim that look "wonderful".

Thanks for the insight. Wasn't planning on just busting in there and climbing shit willy nilly anyways  .

And most of Sedona for that matter...
