What's the deal with pigpen's Yogi Variation Finish?

I went out to JTree this weekend to project the Yogi Variation Finish on the pigpen boulder ( mountainproject.com/route/1…). I've watched a ton of strong climbers try it and send it while I worked on the original pigpen line and after finally getting that done I thought it would be cool to try the variation.

I thought I was doing it right by following the line in the guidebook and remembering how other people were doing it before but, after reading the comments on MP I am super lost. Does anyone have a video link to the original sequence or maybe a less confusing explanation than what is posted here? https://joshuatreebouldering.wordpress.com/2020/02/11/pure-lines-pig-pen-and-the-yogi-lite-or-maybe-the-boo-boo/

Just tryna wrestle this pebble the right way.
Thanks!

The Yogi Variation climbs Pigpen to the big rest, then out the steep prow on thin holds straight into the mantel; whereas The original Yogi goes to the big rest, then traverses back right, under the roof to a large scoop undercling, match said undercling and exit the roof on the far right, moving back left a smidge to mantel.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
