Jammed middle finger - new climber

Hi all, pretty new climber here and jammed my middle finger about 2-3 weeks ago climbing in the gym. I haven't really done anything to try and heal it and have kept climbing - and actually progressing quite a bit - just been fighting through any pain. Wondering if this could lead to any permanent damage and if I should try and heal it and refrain from climbing in the meantime. Would be a bummer since I'm having a lot of fun though, or will it just go away after awhile? Thanks in advance.

Did you pull it out?  Usually a jam resets easily if you pull the digit out.

He said it's a jam not a dislocation and even if it was a dislocation don't try to set it yourself.

OP, stop climbing on it for a couple weeks, consult a doctor if you can, sounds like a sprain, should just take a little time and PT.

Yeah meant to respond and say that I think it's a sprain. Sucks to have to stop climbing when I'm still progressing and able to climb through it but it's probably for the best.
