Sorry to confuse.

It's like the thing that goes in your Playstation, but instead you put it in your Discman, or your not new car.  Instead of a video game, it has music! Genious!  I have 3 shelves of a bookcase full of them.  Some cassette tapes too.

Ha, just noticed how old this thread is.. I’m kinda glad he did, was just making a new playlist yesterday and this is fun.

Going to admit something here that I’ve told very few people(and I’m sure it’ll stay that way in this obscure thread here) - I effing LOVE the Stooges.

Okay, and Wire. And Television.. Think I threw some Replacements on that playlist too for good measure.. had a pretty awesome drive to the Gunks a few days ago;)

The Spotify radio station based on The Stooges - Live at Goose Lake is pretty rad, for anyone whose tastes trend in that direction.

Anyway, I enjoyed reading about other people’s musical tastes - I’m always curious how other people use music, what they dig and why.

CD's are still where it's at. Robot Hive / Exodus by Clutch is a good hype up album.

I put a bunch of the songs mentioned in a playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/362rPw707KLRM4PRDYzvbf?si=NFi425BCTZmTF3Qm1Pp49Q

To stop posts listing albums from overwhelming posts listing single songs, I chose what seem to be the more popular couple of songs from the albums listed. I don't know a lot of the bands, so people who do know them might think I chose poorly (DM me if you want to educate me!). Anyhow, I'm having fun discovering new music!

Haha! Must have been a long time since I last opened the cd tray where I found the Tricky album Vulnerable. I once ruined the woofers in my old car playing the first track, Stay...
(These days it's either solid state or streaming)

I find this topic more interesting now that CD's are on their way out.

I interpret the question differently now.

It's no longer "what was the last thing you listened to" it's become "what will be the last song played by a cd player?"

Just like "what was the last song an 8 track played?" Or "did the last dodo have a name?"

The only CD'S I see anymore are awful kids music collections. The Wheels on the Bus just may be the last voice of this technology.

Yes, and the same goes for DVD's. In my DVD player, I found The Jungle Book (1967)...

some of my favorite pre-climb physical CDs: Santana's "Sacred Fire: Live in South America" & the Tower of Power "40th Anniversary Live" album

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
