Weird foot/toe shape shoe suggestions - Scarp Feroce
|

Ok so I have some weird big toes. At the last knuckle they bend hard towards the rest of my toes. In a lot of shoes, specifically higher performance/asymmetric shoe, there ends up being a dead space between my big toe and the edge of the shoe right where I want to edge. This is no bueno as the foot holds get smaller. The only shoes that I have found to work really well for my stupid toes are the Scarpa Feroce that they haven't made in a long time. The tip or point of these shoes is more toward the center of the shoe and this worked pretty well. Evolv optimus also worked okay with the rounded front. So does anyone else have this problem? What shoes would you suggest trying? And I'm looking for a slight down turned shoe. TC's work fairly well for moderate trad for me but looking for something similar in style to the feroce's slight downturn. Interested in both soft and stiff options. Thanks! |

I don't know who you are, but if you want good advice, post some saucy pictures of those goblin feet you're working with! |

I couldn't find it but there is a forum of people posting picture of their gross feet. I thought I would spare the people and go with a sketch. My feet would be less gross if you stopped stepping on them on every belay ledge! Also your feet may be slighyly more normal shaped they are more goblinesqe for sure. |

Perhaps some of Tenaya offerings might fit you. |

Taylor Krosbakkenwrote: Tenaya mundakas have the widest toe box out of their downturned/aggressive shoes. I recommend going a full size down from your US street shoe. You can probably try them on at rei. I also have weird shaped feet and these shoes have saved me |

Dum, dum dum dum, STOP, Hammertoes! I have goofy feet and find the old Mythos to be fairly symmetrical and work for me. Asymmetrical shoes cause my second toe to ride up and over my big and third toes. Or I size up and have a bunch of room in front. |
