Bouldering in Germany Question

I have a three day, mid-week bouldering trip planned for the third week in October with my 12 year old daughter who will be on German school vacation.  We had originally planned on going back to Bleau but with COVID, we plan to stay in Germany where we live.

If, miraculously, COVID comes under control again near Paris in the next 7 weeks, we will go there again (but I'm not "holding my breath").

So now I am looking for a place in Germany to boulder with my daughter that is not too hard (V2 and down).

I know Frankenjura has tons of routes but there is not any guidebook (at least that I can find).

I just heard about Avalonia and it sounds great.  Supposedly there is a hand drawn guidebook that the owner, Daniel Pohl, has for sale.

I am wondering if anyone knows how to contact him (I cannot get his listed site to open: stonevibs.de) or if they have other areas in Germany for bouldering that have guidebooks that they would recommend.

Thanks all!

Edit:  Okay, too crazy!  Just started watching Stone Locals and there is Daniel Pohl and Avalonia!  Too crazy!

There's no boulder guide to the Frankenjura as that is a condition for access.

Visit the Allgäu instead, the guide is Allgäu Block from Gebro Verlag (in German and English).

Super!

Thanks Jim!  I'll definitely check it out.

There is great bouldering in the Bohemian Switzerland area and the Czech side on the German border. The area is sandstone and it spans an area in Germany (Saxony) and the Czech republic. On the German side you can boulder in Bahratal on the Czech side at Sneznik (snow mountain). The the Sneznik area there is a bouldering guide in Czech and English publishe in 2020 with 1746 problems on 434 boulders with GPS data. You will be able to buy the book at the outdoor shop on Tisa, CZ, where you can rent crashpads for about 10€/day.
