What is one piece of gear that you wish existed or was improved upon?

I am looking to start designing some climbing gear myself and I would love some ideas of what would be useful for climbers! So, what is a piece of gear you wish existed but doesnt, or a piece of gear that could be improved upon?

Also I dont know if this should go on the general board or the gear board...general it is

A search function on MP that people actually used so that the same questions (like this one) don't get asked over and over.

Something like a GriGri that works for two ropes.  Yeah, I know, Giga Jul/Alpine Smart/Whatever - but the GriGri is smoother on raps and has more "assist force" than the geometry type devices.

A little piece that conforms to fit whatever thin seam it goes into. Imagine a ball-nut (lol) made of rubber ;) that had a tiny cartridge of compressed air attached.  Insert the piece into a thin crack, engage the compressed air and the piece swells ;) until it conforms perfectly to the crack. Bomber! To clean it, just release the tension and the piece goes back to its semi-rigid original state, ready to be removed.

Also , +1 on the double rope grigri

An ice screw that actually starts easily in extremely hard, extremely cold ice. Perhaps a heated tip that is warm just for getting it started? Obviously very difficult to manage when it's -20F out. And no, I'm not carrying that ridiculous battery powered impactor-type tool that was recently marketed.

Maybe some kind of suction cup like device that wouldn't damage rock? One can dream...

I'd also settle for someone making a certified rope solo device. Rock Exotica plz?

This is what I was going to suggest although a more compact device would be nice.

Heated  ice axe  handles, kinda like the hotronix boot heaters like ski boots, but the battery  is in the handle  and the heating unit around the  grip.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
