South Lake Tahoe area is "bomb". Plenty to do there. But if you manage to run out, check out Columbia boulders some day when it's not too hot. |

I'd highly recommend the Donner Lake/I-80 corridor. Out of all of the areas in the state, I've found it to be the most enjoyable in every aspect. The only downside is the approaches/density can be a bit lacking. Not to say that there's no density, or that all of the approaches are heinous. They just tend to be a bit more "out there" as opposed to roadside bouldering. |
