I have the older green book and I was wondering if there are areas in his later blue book that aren't covered in that one. I'm sure there are individual routes in the newer one that aren't in the older one, but I'm just wondering if there were new crags added to the later one. If anyone has both to compare or wants to send me picture of the areas in the blue book so I can compare it I would appreciate it.

Yes, but I don’t know if anyone would volunteer their time to comb through it. I recently tracked down both to try to look up an area and basically reached the conclusion it’s not worth it.
Walk through the woods, find something. Lead it, move on. I had the blue book in front of me and it wasn’t exactly helpful anyhow. It’s more like a list of things he’s peed on and to claim the FA. I didn’t find it to be helpful at all as far as finding a new crag to explore or getting any real guidebook style beta from it. That said, it’s still a good read just to laugh at some comments and see some epic photos.
Just my 2cents.

For all the Nichols hate, I don't know enough to agree or disagree. The only reason I'm using his guidebook is because there is a ton of rock around me that isn't in Fasulo's guidebook. Fasulo covers way fewer areas, but covers them way better. Nichols does a mediocre job covering every inch of cliff. I really wish there was a good guidebook that falls somewhere in between.

Every state has its weirdo climbers, not many beside CT have one who wrote the guidebook , set the weird local ethics for many years and did one route probably over 12,000 times by now.

Is he still running laps on DG after it was vandalized? Also - Ken is appearing on The Food Network. It's a chef competition show. Maybe you've heard of it: "Chopped".

If you think the green book is mediocre, wait till you see the blue one. Way more climbs, and no topos.

I have both the green and light blue guides. I compared the maps from both guides, and they include exactly the same 80 crags.
I compared the routes at Short Mountain. There is not much new in the 5.7 - 5.8 range. Most of the new climbs in the light blue guide are faces between the cracks.
1318 routes in the green guide, and 2786 in the light blue. There should be plenty of routes in the green guide to climb for at least a few years.

A lot of closures/bans occurred because of the guidebook and the increase of traffic - this includes State land. Thats why Fasulo caveats that every area other than Ragged is "only there for historic purposes."
